Village Hall OR Church Donations
The village hall and the church both require additional donations to keep the fabric of the building in good repair and fit for community use.
Repairs
- 2025 Electricity board Replace and rewire – £2,000
- 2026 New Windows to be fitted in Feb – £ 15,000
- 2026 Survey to identify and address the Damp
- 2026 Replace the external notice board
- Future plans – replace the kitchen (if anyone is replacing their kitchen please donate any old kitchen units)
- Future plans – double glaze kitchen window

Regular Donations
Regular monthly giving makes a real difference, helping us plan and deliver these projects. A standing order of any amount—large or small—is warmly encouraged.
A suggested gift of £10 per household per month would go a long way, but every contribution helps.

The village would like to purchase a defibrillator for the village. Grants have been applied for but funding will need to be matched.
Update – The Defibrillator has been purchased with all the

- Judy’s Coffee + Cake Mornings
- Grant from Heidelberg Material.
All donation still welcome to finance the installation.
It will be located on the wall to the left of village hall porch.
DeFib – Grant Proposal
Cost is approx. £3,500
A grant proposal to place a defib in the valley where the busy footpath and parking is located has also been submitted. This proposal is to purchase a red telephone box with a wind turbine to provide power or to purchase a stand alone turbine box see below

Costs
- Costs – Defibrillator machine £1,300 – £1,900 including wall mounted cabinet
- Power Costs – Estimated at £60 per annum + Electrical connection required
- Mounting costs – quote to be obtained mounting on village hall wall or concrete plinth for bolts
- Or stand alone solar powered cabinet £2,895
- Or stand alone turbine cabinet £3,200
- Or red telephone box with solar or turbine £1.950 will need a bit of TLC
