The village would like to purchase a defibrillator for the village. Grants have been applied for but funding will need to be matched.

Cost is approx. £3,500

A grant proposal to place a defib in the valley where the busy footpath and parking is located has also been submitted. This proposal is to purchase a red telephone box with a wind turbine to provide power or to purchase a stand alone turbine box see below

Costs

• Costs – Defibrillator machine £1,300 – £1,900 including wall mounted cabinet
• Power Costs – Estimated at £60 per annum + Electrical connection required
• Mounting costs – quote to be obtained mounting on village hall wall or concrete plinth for bolts
• Or stand alone solar powered cabinet £2,895
